Donations

Donations can be made online by clicking on the "Network for Good" button here. All proceeds benefit BARC shelter animals and are completely tax deductible.

Donations can also be made in person at BARC shelter during regular business hours, by phone or by mail (make donations payable to "BARC Shelter" and send to BARC Shelter, 253 Wythe Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11211).

Sponsor a Shelter Animal

Shelter animals need a great deal of care--not only room and board, but often extensive vet care and socialization before they are adopted.

An on-going, fully tax-deductible donation by credit card of as little as $25 a month can make a great difference in BARC's ability to care for and adopt more animals into loving homes.

Tribute Gifts

You can make a meaningful gift that will be a lasting tribute in honor or in memory of a special animal, or a person whose life has been touched by BARC or by a beloved pet.

Donations of $25 or more will be noted on the BARC website on the appropriate IN MEMORY OF or IN HONOR OF page.

In-Kind Donations

BARC Shelter accepts donations of pet supplies, cleaning products, office supplies and other materials that can be used to support the shelter's activities. See the side bar for our current product wish list.

Please contact the Shelter in advance to confirm what products you wish to donate and to arrange for a time to drop them off at BARC.

Due to limited resources and staff time, BARC is unable to pick up donation items.

Matching Gifts

There is no better way to double or even triple your support for BARC Shelter than through a Matching Gift Program. Contact your company's human resources department to find out if your company will match your gift to BARC, helping your contribution go event farther to support New York's shelter animals.

Planned Gifts

You do not need to have a fortune to give a lasting gift to BARC Shelter. Planned gifts, both large and small, play a critical role in ensuring the future of BARC.

Bequests are the simplest and most straightforward way to make a planned gift to support BARC . We currently do not have a formal estate planning program set up at the Shelter. We recommend that you speak with your estate planner for more information about making a bequest to BARC.

Donate to the Picasso Fund

Named in honor of a BARC dog, this fund provides money to shelters providing for extraordinary medical care for a few extraordinary animals. Visit the Fund's Web page to learn more.
