misa & mya |
|
If you are interested in adopting Poohkat please contact Heather at heather.wagner@gmail.com. Misa and Mya are two gorgeous 1-yr old sisters. They were the 2 girls from a litter of 4 who were born on my doorstep on August 21, 2007. We took them in with the mom cat and found homes for all of them. Misa and Mya went together, but now, a year and a half later, the woman who took them is having a baby and has decided it's too much work for her. At this point, they are bonded with each other and need to find a forever home together. They are domestic shorthairs--Misa is sleek jet black, Mya is a beautiful grey tiger. They are healthy, spayed, up to date on shots and very sweet and gentle, great with children. If you think you can handle this sister act, even to foster temporarily, please be in touch. |

olive |

If you are interested in adopting Olive, please contact Linda at or lindawilliams3000@verizon.net. Olive was found in East New York on the street with a broken leg at age 4 months. Her leg was set and she is fine now and is looking for a home. She is now approx. 6-7 months old and is lively, extremely cute and weighs about 8 pounds. She is fine with cats and other dogs. If someone is serious about adopting her, I am willing to bring her to BARC shelter so he/she can see her. |

PoohKat |
![]() |
If you are interested in adopting Poohkat, please contact Sarah at sarah@sarahelewis.net. Poohkat has been with me since she was a kitten. My mother in Texas has several cats, and sometimes takes in cats that need homes. Poohkat came from an entire litter left at our vet. She is half Persian, half Manx. She has no tail, is very beautiful, and is full gray. I adore her. I adopted her with her brother, Tiggerkat, but he had to be put down due to heart issues as a kitten. (My mom can't take her because she already has 10 cats, and thus she has to leave her outside a lot. That would make Poohkat very unhappy - I know because we tried.) They were together for six months of their lives, and he is the only cat I have ever seen her bond with. I tried to adopt a Persian adult and they did not get along. And she has been with me eight years, she will be nine in May. I need a nice home for her - a single cat residence where she can be adored and adore back. She is feisty - she likes to play outside, but also is very loving and very affectionate when she decides to be. She likes to play with fast-moving strings and feathers, if she is in the mood! She likes to go in and out of my backyard in Brooklyn, but depends upon a consistent bed to sleep on, and her water and food being full. She is not overweight, but it makes her feel secure that it sits there. I am very upset to be giving her up, but my boyfriend, who is now my partner, is very allergic. It is a very hard situation for me. I am moving in with him next week. She does have a lot of hair so she needs to be groomed. And I keep about four lint rollers around. Besides that, she is pretty current on her shots, and has never had any medical issues except some digestion sensitivities that have to do more with so much hair. Please contact me if you are interested in adopting my beautiful friend. |

2 kittens |
|
If you are interested in adopting these kittens, please contact Rachel at lacoka@gmail.com. These two adorable female kittens were rescued on November 29 from my backyard in a cold rain. The vet says that they are healthy and are about 8 weeks old. Both are fully weened and litter trained. They love to play and to cuddle with each other. They purr like motors when petted. They are probably spoiled rotten on warmth, affection and food at this point, but that makes them all the more fun. They love other cats and are intrigued by my dog. They could really use good and loving homes. If you want to give them that home, please email me at the information above. |

bahia |
![]() |
If you are interested in adopting Bahia, please contact Patricia at batipato2000@yahoo.com with the subject: Bahia's new home. Bahia is a sweet, playful and healthy cat. She has beautiful long black hair and white spots on her feet and nose. I have had Bahia for almost 6 years. She has received all all of the necessary shots and was spayed when we adopted her from a shelter in Long Island. She is used to being the only pet in the house, but I have a feeling she would love other pet company. She is shy at first, but once she gets used to the space she loves to interact, roll around on the ground, and be petted. She has never damaged any of the furniture in my house. |

fish |
![]() |
If you are interested in adopting Fish, please contact Alona at pablokitty@gmail.com. Fish is a 5 year old neutered tabby. I took him in when I saw him wandering the streets in my Brooklyn neighborhood. He started following me home (he is a real people cat!) and I didn't have the heart to leave him outdoors. We tried to locate owners but no one claimed him. Fish has been living with our family and has brought us a lot of joy. But unfortunately it's time for him to find a "forever home". We already have cats and two children so we are at our max. We are sad to have to part ways but know that we don't truly have enough time for him right now. |

mimi and fiddle |
|
If you would like to adopt Mimi and Fiddle, please contact Jessica at jsscdb@yahoo.com. We were born on a pool cover in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Although we do like our foster home, we are ready to find a home that is perfect for us! We love to play with balls and laser pens and we also really like toys that dangle. We’re playful but we’re also pretty lazy. We love to sit on the window sill and watch the birds, or lay at the foot of your reclining chair while you watch TV. We also like to sit in the bathroom while you shower, we love the steam! Sometimes we even like to have our mom wet our heads for us. We’re very lovable but we’re not lap cats, and we don’t like to be picked up for very long. Mom says we should be your only pets, and she only wants us to go to someone with previous cat experience. She also said we’re best at a home without small children. Our foster mom sure has a lot of stipulations but she says it’s because we deserve our perfect forever home, and she won’t settle for anything less. |

Petrucchio |
|
If you wish to adopt Petrucchio, please contact Rayna at raynahuber@hotmail.com. I am a 50 lb, 6-year old, neutered male, mixed-breed who needs a new home. I am extremely affectionate, love to play, and want nothing more than to bewith my family, other family dogs, and protect my family. However, I have difficulty with strangers and kids. I am up-to-date on all my shots. My perfect home is a loving single person or couple who does not have young kids and has experience with dogs. |

Sugar |
![]() |
For more information about Sugar or to adopt her, please contact Avri at avri_b@yahoo.com. I found this dog abandoned last week. I call her Sugar and have been fostering her, but can't keep her. She is a small pitbull mix, female, unfixed, around one year old. I don't know her medical history at all, but she seems healthy and is flea-free. She is maybe 25 pounds and looks full-grown. She is housetrained but not housebroken. She is extremely sweet, friendly, and energetic. She plays well with other dogs but is not great with cats. She shows a bit of aggression around food but is otherwise submissive. She's very eager to please and is very trainable. She stays mostly out of the crate I have for her and doesn't seem destructive at all. |
